How many people need to die before the government of Alberta will actually twin HWY 63 for real.
I was raised in a small rural community only accessible by Hwy 63 (Wandering River), I can not tell you the number of accidents and deaths I have seen on this hi-way, Including my father and a good friend.
Plans to twin this hi-way have been in effect for years, with slow and unsteady progress. Estimated at a minimum cost of 1 billion dollars, and the government kicking in 150 million.
Explain this to me. WHY is there all this traffic on Hi-way 63? That's easy, The oil-sands!!!
Why are they not paying for ALL OF THIS TWINNING PROJECT?

1.427 BILLION PROFIT??? In a quarter? Really? Meanwhile I paid $1.29 a litre at the pumps today :(.
Anyway enough rant. Twin the damn hi-way.

The reason for this petition is to finally twin the highway. There have
been too many deaths on this highway and changes need to be made now not
later.
